Management Records

  • Meticulous records are kept during breeding, lambing and of all matters related to the health and maintenance of our flock.

ASBA and other Show Rules

  • We do not skirt or loosely interpret the rules for our own personal gain. We encourage any youth or families we are working with to do the same.

Sheep for Sale
  • We will accurately disclose any detail you request about any sheep you may be interested in purchasing; either off the farm or at public auction.
  • We do not pre-sell sheep that are entered in a public sale. We would be happy to tell you everything we know about the lots we consign (including accurate full pedigrees), but will not arrange special deals, payment plans, or sell a sheep off the farm who has been cataloged before a public sale.
  • Our sheep sell honestly at the price that is announced at the time the gavel comes down (or the last internet bid is collected!) and all payment must be made through sale management.
  • We sell sheep at public auction and off the farm that we would feel proud to have in our own flock.  We very selectively retain a few animals each year to add to the flock, but don't keep "all of the good ones" for ourselves; we love to win a class, but have found that having your customers win says so much more about you as a breeder!

DNA
  • We do not use ANY ram that has tested "NS" or knowlingly have any ewe in our flock that is "NS".
  • “NS” is the genetic name for a sheep carrying Hereditary chondrodysplasia  or the spider gene. Since chondrodysplasia is a terminal condition, we believe that keeping NS sheep in the flock is not a good practice. We don't feel it is worth the risk to you as a potential customer or to us, of owning a sheep that is a carrier and potentially passing on this condition.
  • The ASBA has strict rules with consequences against selling at a sanctioned sale and showing "NS" sheep. The consequences (disbarment from national shows and sales for one year) are not something to which we wish to subject ourselves or our customers.
  • We disclose full and accurate DNA results as are reported to us by Genecheck at the time of purchase of any sheep from our flock.
  •   All sale sheep and National Show entries are tested and results received before the sale or show.
