John started the Circle J Southdowns flock in 2001, as an FFA SAE project. This project resulted in a direct market lamb business and the registered flock we have today. John is a Junior at Kansas State University majoring in Agronomy. He has input to all breeding decisions, manages the flock between semesters at school and exhibits at Sales and Shows across the country.
Machinery sales is his profession, but for the Circle J Flock he keeps the pastures, fences, buildings and equipment all in great shape. His meticulous attention to detail ensures as few sheep accidents happen as possible!
"We are committed to helping our customers achieve their dreams."
Amy's parents, Earl and Sherri, manage the flock while the family is on the road at shows and sales, and also help during lambing time. They have also developed a customer base of "foodies" who love our fresh lamb in their hometown of Sheboygan, WI.
A Human Resources professional by day and the shepherd while John is at school, Amy also maintains the Circle J website and facebook page and helps the ASBA and WI Southdown Association maintain their eCommunications. She also markets and manages the fresh lamb business.
We are active members of the American Southdown Breeders Association and the Wisconsin Southdown Association. Click the icons above to learn more!
